Free Hindu Temples from government controls and give better salaries to priests & other staff of temples
It is known that many State Governments have been taking over management of only Hindu temples, Hindu religious institutions etc. leaving aside mosques, dargahs, churches, Gurudwaras etc. and every year transfer a big share of donations received by Hindu temples to the general budget of the State Governments running into thousands of crore rupees every year . Administrations of over 400000 temples have been taken over by various Governments. Due to diversion of donations no wonder many temples are deteriorating for lack of proper maintenance, priests and other staff of temples are paid poorly, temple premises remain dirty etc. It is estimated that every year about one lakh crore rupees out of donations received are diverted by governments to general budget which should have been used for better maintenance of temples, better salaries to priests and other staff and better facilities to pilgrims. I authorise the Samarasata Foundation to take up these issues with the governments concerned. The Foundation will advise names of such candidates in Parliamentary and Assembly elections who have promised to use their legislative powers to get implemented the mission points of the Foundation.
In 1993 the Supreme Court of India [AIR 1993 SC 2086] on a petition filed by the All India Imam Organisation directed the Wakf Board and the Governments to pay salaries to imams etc. In 1993 PV Narsimha Rao Prime Minister declared that it would cost about Rs 600 crores annually as grants to Wakf Boards. Since then imams are being paid by many Governments (Delhi, Punjab, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Telangana etc.) out of taxes paid by Hindus. In Jan 2019 Shri Kejariwal the AAP Chief Minister of Delhi announced that salaries of imams will be raised from Rs 10000 pm to Rs 18000 pm, and salaries of muezzins from Rs 9000 pm to Rs 16000 pm. Shri Kejariwal announced salary hike for imams for mosques outside wakf Boards.
So Hindu priests and temple staff have legal, constitutional and moral rights and better claims to get good salaries. Hindu priests and temple staff who are interested to get better salaries including arrears of salaries may enrol on website of this Foundation
जैसा सर्व विदित है कि कई राज्य सरकारें मस्जिदों, दरगाहों, गिरजाघरों, गुरुद्वारों आदि को छोड़कर सिर्फ हिंदू मंदिरों, हिंदू धार्मिक संस्थानों आदि का प्रबंधन अपने हाथ में लेती रही हैं और हर साल हिंदू मंदिरों को मिलने वाले चंदे का एक बड़ा हिस्सा (हजारों करोड़ रुपये) आम बजट मे ट्रांसफर कर देती हैं. विभिन्न सरकारों द्वारा 4,00,000 से अधिक मंदिरों का प्रशासन अपने हाथ में ले लिया गया है। दान के सरकारी खजाने में ट्रांसफर के कारण कोई आश्चर्य नहीं कि उचित रखरखाव मे fund की कमी के कारण कई मंदिर खराब हो रहे हैं, मंदिरों के पुजारियों और अन्य कर्मचारियों को उचित वेतन नहीं मिलता है, मंदिर परिसर गंदा रहता है आदि। सरकारों द्वारा दान का पूरा उपयोग मंदिरों के बेहतर रखरखाव, पुजारियों और अन्य कर्मचारियों को बेहतर वेतन और तीर्थयात्रियों को बेहतर सुविधाओं के लिए किया जाना चाहिए था। मैं इन मुद्दों को संबंधित सरकारों के साथ उठाने के लिए समरसता फाउंडेशन को अधिकृत करता हूं। फाउंडेशन संसदीय और विधानसभा चुनावों में ऐसे उम्मीदवारों को समर्थन देंने की सलाह देगा जिन्होंने फाउंडेशन के मिशन बिंदुओं को लागू करने के लिए अपनी विधायी शक्तियों का उपयोग करने का वादा किया है।
1993 में अखिल भारतीय इमाम संगठन द्वारा दायर एक याचिका पर भारत के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय [AIR 1993 SC 2086] ने वक्फ बोर्ड और सरकारों को इमाम आदि को वेतन देने का निर्देश दिया था. 1993 में पी.वी. नरसिम्हा राव (P.M) वक्फ बोर्डों को सालाना 600 करोड़ रुपये अनुदान के रूप में देंगे कहा था । तब से इमामों को कई सरकारों (दिल्ली, पंजाब, पश्चिम बंगाल, कर्नाटक, तमिलनाडु, तेलंगाना आदि) द्वारा भुगतान किया जा रहा है वक्फ बोर्डों के मध्यम से. जनवरी 2019 में दिल्ली के आम आदमी पार्टी ने घोषणा की कि इमामों का वेतन 10,000 रुपये प्रति माह से बढ़ाकर 18000 रुपये प्रति माह और मुअज्जिनों का वेतन 9000 रुपये प्रति माह से बढ़ाकर 16000 रुपये प्रति माह किया जाएगा। आम आदमी पार्टी ने वक्फ बोर्डों के बाहर मस्जिदों के इमामों के वेतन में वृद्धि की घोषणा की।
इसलिए हिंदू पुजारियों और मंदिर के कर्मचारियों के पास बेहतर कानूनी, संवैधानिक और नैतिक आधार है अच्छे वेतन पाने के लिये. हिंदू पुजारी और मंदिर के कर्मचारी जो बेहतर वेतन पाने के इच्छुक हैं वो फाउंडेशन की वेबसाइट का फॉर्म भरें .
Promises
I shall promote social unity and harmony among all Hindus. The Rig Veda commands that all Hindus are equal by birth, no one is superior by birth and no one is inferior by birth and all Hindus are brothers and sisters as per RV (5.60.5). Richa RV (10.191.2) commands “Meet together, talk together, let your minds apprehend alike…….” RV (10 191.3) “Common be the prayers, common be the acquirement, common the purpose, associated be the desire. I repeat for you a common prayer; I offer for you a common oblation”. RV (9.93.9) prays “Unite the strength of us men here like the chariot, wheel and reins”. Atharva Veda (3.30.6) commands “ your drinking saloon be the same, in common your share of food, in the same harness do I join you together worship you agni united, like spokes about a navel.” Purus sukta of Rig Veda (10. 90.12) says that a man is virat i.e. healthy only if his mouth, arms, torso and legs are joined together and work in harmony, similarly that community will be strong in which educated (brahimins), government (rajnya), traders and farmers and animal husbandry (vaishya) and service class (shudra) are joined together and work in harmony. In Vedas varna means current profession of a person. Varna changes as a person changes his profession. Thus Vedas command unity and harmony among all Hindus, the mission point of the Samarasata Foundation. I shall welcome all Hindus in my temple and visit homes of all Hindus to conduct poojas at their homes.
